Steve King Warns Trump: Bannon ‘Is The Lynchpin’ To Your White Supremacist Base

Amid talk that Donald Trump’s Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is teetering on the edge of being ousted, Rep. Steve King is sending a warning to Trump: You need to keep Bannon around if you want to hold on to the support of the white supremacists and nazis who make up the core of your base.

King sent out a cautionary tweet on Sunday, advising Trump to keep Bannon around if he doesn’t want to lose the white supremacist supporters who were so vital to putting him in office. The Republican representative said that the White House chief strategist and former Breitbart bigwig “is the lynchpin” to trump’s nazi base.

“Conservatives are an endangered species in your White House,” King added.

Bannon was yanked off of the National Security Council’s Principals Committee without warning last week. Rumors are swirling about an internal war within the White House between Bannon and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Politico has reported that Bannon has considered walking out of the administration as a result of this ongoing rivalry.

Many, including GOP Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL), believe that Bannon’s days in the White House “are numbered.” She added that if he left the administration it “would be welcome news for the nation.”

King himself is a well-known racist, having once proudly proclaimed that white people contributed more to civilization than any “other subgroup of people.” Just recently, in case anybody was beginning to doubt whether or not he was still a raging bigot, King tweeted that having “somebody else’s babies” will not help to save our “civilization.” In light of his own white supremacist tendencies, King’s support for Bannon is hardly surprising.

Never did I think I would see the day when I would say “Steve King is right.” But alas, that day has come. If he gives Bannon the boot, Trump will likely lose the support of the white supremacists and nazis that have supported him despite the obvious fact that he is a total moron. Good.
