Republican Congressman Clay Higgins is an ass, plain and simple.

Now the U.S. Representative for Louisiana’s 3rd congressional district is getting his ass kicked after posting a GOP “propaganda” video he narrated from inside a gas chamber at Auschwitz, the infamous former Nazi concentration camp in Poland.

Who does that?!?

If actually shooting such a piece of party trash inside a concentration camp wasn’t heartless enough, the right-wing jerk made sure everyone could see his masterpiece on YouTube and Twitter.

Officials from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum immediately took to their own Twitter page to criticize the congressman, posting that “inside a former gas chamber, there should be mournful silence. It’s not a stage.”

According to the AP, local Louisiana news outlets first reported Higgins’s video Saturday. The congressman’s office was closed Tuesday for the July 4th holiday and did not respond to the AP’s request for comment.

As you can imagine, the social media backlash came fast and furious:

In the on-site video, Higgins discusses how the gas chamber killings took only about 20 minutes, showing why the U.S. military “must be invincible.” In another part of the video, he says “It’s hard to walk away from the gas chambers and ovens without…unwavering commitment…to make damn sure that the United States of America is protected from the evils of the world.”

I don’t know which is worse: The person who shoots trashy party propaganda from inside a concentration camp or the people who voted him into office.
