‘Case Closed’: Preet Bharara Just Trolled Trump And It’s Beautiful

Preet Bharara, one of the officials fired by alleged president Donald Trump who was conducting an investigation linked to the former reality show star, took to his Twitter account today to mock the scandal-plagued amateur POTUS.

The former U.S. attorney tweeted to Trump on Saturday night to mock his baseless claims of being “wiretapped” in Trump Tower by former President Barack Obama. In that one tweet, he threw shade at Trump over the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“So apparently @realDonaldTrump DID have his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower. Case closed,” Bharara tweeted.

On Friday, Trump issued a threat to Comey on Twitter. “James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” he wrote.

Bharara included a link to a Wall Street Journal article headlined, “Former employees of Donald Trump say he sometimes taped phone conversations in Trump Tower.”

Former high-level employees said that Trump sometimes taped phone conversations with associates and others from his office in New York when he was a businessman, according to three people who say they have direct knowledge of the recordings.

A fourth person said he knew that Trump had recorded a phone conversation with him because it was later entered into evidence in a lawsuit.

Trump fired Bharara, then Sally Yates, then James Comey. All three were in the middle of conducting investigations linked to Trump. Comey was leading the investigation into the Trump administration’s alleged ties to Russia. This has all happened before which is why people are comparing what’s happening now to Watergate.

The backlash: Members of Congress have demanded that Trump hand over the alleged tapes for the review.

Trump is good at projection. He is doing what he accused Obama of doing.

Note to our readers: Trolls mass reported our Twitter account and had it suspended. We’re not sure why Twitter allowed this because we’ve only received auto-replies from support. Apparently, there are no humans working in their support department, which is one of the many things wrong with the social site. So, we can’t tweet out our articles, but you can.

Be sure to share our posts liberally.

Trump supporters can try to get rid of us, but we aren’t going anywhere.
