The GOP's president, Donald Trump, sent out a tweet in honor of International Women's Day, and people on Twitter are reaming him for his hypocrisy.

On Wednesday, the GOP’s president Donald Trump tweeted out a message in honor of International Women’s Day. In it, he claims: “I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy.”

No, Donald Trump, you do not have “tremendous respect” or any other kind of respect for women. If you and your fellow members of the Republican Party value women at all, it’s only for the unpaid and underpaid labor we provide and the babies you want us to whelp out on a continuous basis.

Here’s the cad-in-chief’s phony tweet for International Women’s Day.

What Donald Trump fails to mention, of course, is that Wednesday also marks the Day Without a Women strike. As the Women’s March website explains, the strike is meant to protest the very injustices against women that Donald Trump and his “unified Republican government” supports.

On International Women’s Day, March 8th, women and our allies will act together for equity, justice and the human rights of women and all gender-oppressed people, through a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.

Twitter’s scathing response to Donald Trump’s International Women’s Day tweet.

The responses came fast and furiously, starting with a video with CNN’s report on Donald Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” comments.

Oh, and is this comment about Hillary Clinton “respectful?”

And this response was succinct and to the point.

And here are a few more of the many “respectful” comments the GOP’s president has made about women.

If Donald Trump really wants to honor International Women’s Day, he’s in the wrong party. The U.S. lags behind other developed nations when it comes to women, and the Republican Party is largely to blame.

But the troglodytes in Donald Trump’s party don’t even support the Equal Rights Amendment. Remember the Equal Rights Amendment?

And how can Donald Trump claim to respect women when he treats his own wife so badly?

Donald Trump’s International Women’s Day tweet would sound more authentic with the following edits.
