Duterte Says Trump Ordered Him To Sing This Love Song To Him – And He Did (VIDEO)

Philippines dictator Rodrigo Duterte sang a Filipino love song at a dinner in Manila saying that he was doing so “on the orders of Donald Trump.” This, just after Trump sucked up to Russia dictator Vladimir Putin, seems somehow fitting. Trump never met a dictator he didn’t like. For example, after lobbing insults at North Korean dictator Kim Jong un, calling him “short and fat,” Trump said that it would be “very, very nice” if the two of them could be friends.

And now we have Duterte to add to the list of Trump’s bromances.

The Guardian reports:

The US president and Duterte were among 19 leaders at a gala in the Philippines capital on Sunday ahead of the annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit. At one point Duterte took the microphone to sing “Ikaw” (You), in a duet with local pop diva Pilita Corrales.

One of the song’s verses, translated from Filipino, begins: “You are the light in my world, a half of this heart of mine.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I sang uninvited, upon the orders of the commander-in-chief of the United States,” Duterte said.

More than 3,900 Filipinos have been killed/executed in a war on drugs that Duterte declared when he took office last year. Even though Duterte was popularly elected, he’s seen as a man on the path to an iron-fisted dictatorship.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a serial liar, claimed that the two ‘leaders’ discussed human rights issues, however, a spokesman for the controversial Philippine President told reporters that “human rights did not arise” during that meeting.

Back to Putin. Trump claimed he spoke with the Russian President about meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, but Russia said that did not happen.

It’s difficult to know which dictator to believe anymore, ours or theirs.
