After it was revealed that Donald J. Trump avoided paying federal taxes for nearly two decades, the GOP presidential nominee’s surrogates weighed in to call him a “genius.” What sort of ‘genius’ has to declare a $916 million loss? How can a casino possibly lose money? Well, if you’re Donald, stuff like that happens and contractors were not paid.
And if you’re Rudy Giuliani, that means you’d make a better president than a woman. Rudy must know this because we’ve had so many female presidents before.
The Chicago Tribune reports:
Trump’s leading surrogates, Giuliani and Christie, offered a different assessment. They said Trump’s evasion of taxes demonstrated his business acumen and smarts. They did not dispute the Times’s findings, nor has Trump’s campaign.
“He’s a genius – absolute genius,” Giuliani said on ABC’s “This Week.” “This was a perfectly legal application of the tax code, and he would’ve been a fool not to take advantage of it.”
Giuliani said Trump “had some failures and then he built an empire” and called the businessman “a genius at how to take advantage of legal remedies that can help your company survive and grow.”
“Don’t you think a man who has this kind of economic genius is a lot better for the United States than a woman, and the only thing she’s ever produced is a lot of work for the FBI checking out her emails,” Giuliani said.
On CNN, Giuliani desperately tried to justify Donald’s tax revelations. “It shows what a genius he is,” Rudy said.
Gov. Chris Christie said on “Fox News Sunday” that “this is actually a very, very good story for Donald Trump.”
“What it shows is what an absolute mess the federal tax code is, and that’s why Donald Trump is the person best positioned to fix it,” he said. “There’s no one who’s showed more genius in their way to move around the tax code.”
Giuliani also said it was ‘fair game’ for Donald The Adulterer to accuse Hillary Clinton of adultery because she called him a racist.
