When Donald Trump picked Alabama Senator Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions as his Attorney General, most of us were appalled because he’s a racist little f-ck. So, on Monday, Sessions removed all doubt when he went off script while speaking to law enforcement officials.

Sessions told the National Sheriffs’ Association of the importance of the “Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement.” He went on to “thank every sheriff in America.”

“I want to thank every sheriff in America. Since our founding, the independently elected sheriff has been the people’s protector, who keeps law enforcement close to and accountable to people through the elected process,” Sessions said, according to CNN, adding, “The office of sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement.”

“We must never erode this historic office,” Sessions added.

Watch:

That didn’t go down well on Twitter.

CNN notes that Sessions must have gone off script because his written statement read, “The sheriff is a critical part of our legal heritage.”

But, he just had to let his inner racist elf out for a moment. That’s a big ‘Oops’ moment. This is why anti-racist activism is sweeping across the U.S. Trump, too, has a history of racism. We’re sure they’re very happy together. So when Trump says he represents everyone in the U.S., you can add that to his long list of lies. Even his vice-president is a bigot.
