Not-my-president-elect Donald Trump isn’t trying very hard to cover up the fact that our country’s presidential election was compromised by Russia. For example, Trump just selected Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his nominee for secretary of State. Tillerson has strong ties to Russia.

The Hill reports:

Critics have already called into question Tillerson’s ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Tillerson negotiated an energy partnership with Putin in 2011 that the Russian president said could be worth $500 billion.

The following year, Tillerson received the Russian Order of Friendship, one of the highest awards the country bestows upon foreign nationals.

Reuters reported earlier this year that the Exxon Mobil deal with Russia had been put on hold due to sanctions levied against the Kremlin for its annexation of Crimea in 2014. The company has said it intends to resume the deal after sanctions are lifted — a process that Tillerson could help expedite as secretary of State.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell reported that former Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton would be tapped to be Tillerson’s deputy at State.

We’ve been hacked and Wikileaks helped to sabotage our election.

Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.

Trump reacted to the report by attacking the CIA. A statement from his transition team said of the agency, “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.”

One of Russia’s top diplomats said Thursday that the Russian government maintained contacts with members of Donald J. Trump’s “immediate entourage” during the U.S. presidential campaign.

President Obama has ordered an investigation into Russia’s interference in the presidential election.

Mitch McConnell knew about this and did nothing. FBI director James Comey withheld information about Trump’s ties to Russia. Trump is currently on a ‘thank you’ tour and we’re wondering when he’ll stop by the Kremlin.

LOCK THEM UP! Then after that, we’ll have to drain that swamp.
