A Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who has been married four times, has again refused to issue a marriage license to a gay couple, in defiance of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.
Kim Davis cited her Christian faith and constitutional right to religious freedom.
Again, she’s been married four times so let’s review that according to her faith.
Matthew 5:31-32: ‘It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.’
Ms. Davis is an adulteress. End of story because we can’t pick and chose, right?
Talking Points Memo reports:
On Thursday morning, a deputy clerk in her office refused to issue a marriage license to William Smith Jr. and James Yates. It was their third attempt to get a license.
They said they will not give up.
“They just don’t like gay people, they don’t want us to get married,” Yates said. “And they’d rather burn the earth and not let straight people in Rowan County get married either.”
Davis’ appeal in court was denied.
Titus 3:1 – ‘Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.’
Romans 2:13: ‘For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.’
Mat Staver, an attorney for Davis, said he plans to discuss options with Davis, including an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A group of so-called Christians are refusing to obey the new law. Local Kentucky official Casey Davis is also refusing to abide by the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage. Mr. Davis (no relation) says it’s his job to tell gay people they’re gong to hell.
All of the gay-hating clerks who were defying the law while wearing mixed fibers are doomed to Pits of Hell.
It says so right there in Bible.
Jesus never mentioned the gays. In total, homosexuality is mentioned seven times in the Old Testament and never by Jesus Himself.
What the Bible does mention perhaps thousands of times is economic justice and poverty.
Go to hell Ms. Davis. You too, Mr. Davis. It’s ‘my job’ to tell you to go to hell. Prepare for the ‘gnashing of the teeth.’
