Matt Drudge Thinks Hurricane Matthew Is A Liberal Conspiracy (TWEETS)

Hurricane Matthew may be a Category 4 or 5 hurricane before striking the Florida coast starting Thursday night and a combined 12,000 residents are already without power in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Across the Caribbean, 113 lives have been lost. Florida Gov. Rick Scott warned residents to evacuate, saying, ‘this (storm) will kill you.”

President Obama declared a state of emergency in Florida.

Hurricane News’ headline reads, “Potentially Catastrophic Hurricane Strike With ‘Sandy-Like’ Storm Surge For Parts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina”.

However, Matt Drudge sees a conspiracy. “The deplorables are starting to wonder if govt has been lying to them about Hurricane Matthew intensity to make exaggerated point on climate,” he tweeted.

Drudge’s tweets are dangerous. A couple from Wisconsin who are visiting in Florida refuse to leave. “It’s just another adventure!” the man told a weather reporter. “It’s like a blizzard in Wisconsin — hunker down for three days!”

No, it is not like a blizzard at all. It is nothing like a blizzard. Some of my family members lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina but they did not die because they had the sense to evacuate. Matt Drudge should go down to Florida and report from the area expected to be hit instead of circulating conspiracy theories to his 408,000 followers.

What an asshole.
