Miss Texas is woke, y’all. The Miss America Pageant took an unexpected turn last night after Margana Wood was directly asked about Donald Trump’s response to the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Untie the Right hate-rally last month when he said there were “very fine people on both sides.” Wood did not hold back when she answered. Her 15-second response nailed it.
“I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious, that it was a terrorist attack,” Wood said. “And I think that President Donald Trump should’ve made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and in making sure all Americans feel safe in this country. That is the number one issue right now.”

Ms. Wood, a Houston native, is also pro-LGBTQ rights and we know she has a great future ahead of her.
