After Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump mocked a person’s physical handicap while defending his ridiculously incredible claim that ‘thousands’ of Muslims in New Jersey celebrated after the collapse of the World Trade Center, the mother of an autistic boy addressed the GOP frontrunner on Facebook in a post which has gone viral.

Trump tried to backpedal (lie) and say he wasn’t mocking Serge Kovaleski’s physical disability when clearly he was.

Dear Donald Trump, my youngest son has autism. He’s 10 years old now and doing really well, but occasionally he still does “hand flapping” when he’s really excited about something. Otherwise, we’re really fortunate because he’s very high functioning. Most times people don’t even know he has a disability anymore because he has made such great progress. My husband, myself and his brothers all smile when he hand-flaps because we think it’s cute. It’s just the way he expresses his excitement. But deep down I have a pit in my stomach about it because I realize someday he might do that in public, on the bus, maybe at school, and I know some children might laugh at him. It breaks my heart to even think about it. But I cannot be everywhere to protect him from bullies who might mock him for his disability. I can only hope, that some other parents out there, have raised their kids to be strong and brave and have taught them to stand up for a kid who is being made fun of (or worse) for his or her disability.

Do not give me your excuses Mr. Trump. I don’t want to hear it. You knew that reporter was disabled and you deliberately mocked his physical disability in front of a crowd of people to belittle and demean him and get some laughs. You are nothing but a big school-yard bully and I hope with everything in my soul that the country now sees you for what you truly are.

I showed my son, the one with autism, the video of you mocking that reporter and you know what he said?

“That’s not nice.”

Maybe you should take a lesson from him. He’s pretty smart.

No it’s ‘not nice’ and with each acidic remark from Trump his poll numbers rise. The hotel magnate is the epitome of the bullies in this world who Ms. Weist needs to protect her son from – and yet, he is the GOP frontrunner.

Ms. Weist’s young son has more heart and soul than the Conservatives’ favorite candidate.

Think about that for a moment.
