Open Carry Leader Calls For Executing Texas Lawmakers Who Voted Against Open Carry

What’s called ‘Constitutional Carry’ in Texas was a sure thing to pass but because of the idiot amendment slipped in at the last minute forbidding police from requesting to see a gun owner’s license if they are open carrying a firearm,  police chiefs are urging Gov. Greg Abbott to veto the legislation.

Police chiefs fear this would allow criminals to carry firearms without repercussions.

The Texas Tribune reports:

At issue is language added to House Bill 910, the bill allowing licensed Texans to openly carry handguns, that limits the power of law enforcement to ask those visibly carrying to present their permits. Opponents say that provision amounts to a backdoor effort to repeal licensing requirements for handgun-toting Texans altogether.

On top of that, Open Carry Tarrant County leader Kory Watkins has doubled down on death threats. In January, Watkins literally stuck his foot in Texas House Representative Pancho Nevarez’s door and threatened his life. That action even brought conservative lawmakers to stand with Navarez, with some wearing buttons in support of the Democratic lawmaker.

A rule was quickly passed so that lawmakers could enable panic buttons to be installed in their offices.

And now, Watkins again has called for the execution of lawmakers who did not vote for Open Carry.

On Facebook, Watkins writes:

I’m calling for the arrest of every elected official in Texas that voted against open carry. They should be arrested, charged with treason and should face a punishment that could result in being hung from the tree of liberty.

What do you think gets their attention more after they go against the people? Some phone calls? Or actual liberty or death?

Texans, asking for our rights and waiting for them is not the right tactic.

Start putting ‪#‎FootInDoors‬

(my bold)

Kory adds in another post, “Do you think people should just disobey the unjust laws and carry whenever, whatever they want? If law is unjust is it not our duty to disobey it? ‪#‎DontComply‬”

In another post, he pats himself on that back because he paid for a police officer’s breakfast.

In another Facebook post, one of Kory’s supporters lists the “RINO Republicans that voted AGAINST Open Carry.” That post came after Watkins’ issued the death threat.

For the Open Carry advocates and leaders that comment here, this is from

Open Carry has been on life support since that time, limping towards the finish line, but without any inertia thanks to the damage done by one merry band of dim-witted narcissists and their so-called leader.

CHL owners don’t take Open Carry Texas seriously either. On their forum they have a post titled, “OCT claiming credit for sun rising in the east.”

It’s not just Kory.

War, huh, what is it good for? C.J. Grisham, leader of Open Carry Texas explains:

We’ve stated repeatedly that Open Carriers are their own worst enemies, but no, they explain they’re just exercising their Constitutional rights in your faces. With rights comes responsibility.

And even after the threats and the Waco bloodbath, Gov. Greg Abbott will likely sign the bill if it passes.
