The police report has been released in the wake of George Zimmerman’s arrest and release on Saturday morning in Volusia County, Florida.
The acquitted killer of Trayvon Martin was arrested (again) for aggravated assault and domestic violence with a weapon after allegedly hurling a wine bottle at his girlfriend.
When police officers in Lake Mary, Florida, responded to what was described as a “disturbance” on Jan. 5th, they heard glass break and saw a woman getting into a car at the residence which was later identified as Zimmerman’s home, according to the report.
Officers pulled the woman over, who was allegedly driving at night without her headlights on, according to Talking Points Memo.
The woman told the officers that she got into an argument with Zimmerman. The alleged victim said she was in an intimate relationship with him and had been living with him for two to three months.
The woman said that Zimmerman threw a glass wine bottle at her. The bottle did not hit her, but it scared her, prompting her to leave the residence, according to the arrest report.
The woman also said that Zimmerman broke her cell phone by throwing it on the ground. According to the arrest report, the alleged victim was “extremely emotional and upset” while talking to the officers.
According to the offense report written by one of the officers who interviewed the woman, she described Zimmerman as a “psychopath.”
According to TMZ, the woman said she’s been dating Zimmerman for a few months. When asked if they’d been intimate, she told police she did “get drunk in the past and have sex with him before.”
That must have been some strong liquor.
Officers discovered a broken wine bottle in the driveway of Zimmerman’s home, the report states.
Zimmerman did say that he was in a relationship with the woman, but he denied throwing the wine bottle at her or breaking her cell phone.
According to Zimmerman, he was just trying to keep the woman from entering his home at the time of the incident.
Again, he’s a victim.
According to TMZ, the argument was over one of this ‘paintings’ which he had given her and he wanted it back.
As noted here, Zimmerman has been plagued with brushes with the law since his acquittal after the shooting death of an unarmed teenager.
Noticeably silent are the gun fetishists who poured in donations so that George could replenish his arsenal. For that cause, Zimmerman received a check for $12,150.
Zimmerman was ordered to stay out of the county and hand over any weapons he had in abundance.
