Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) sent out a tweet reading “Country over party” and included a photo of his $100 donation to Alabama Senate candidate Doug Jones. Earlier today, Donald Trump, who has thrown his full support for alleged child molester Roy Moore, voiced his support for Moore’s campaign during a meeting with GOP senators at the White House while he was seated next to Flake.
Later, Flake tweeted this:

“Yeah, I think the victims are credible, and there are a number of them,” Sen. Flake said last month. “And I think to a person in Congress, my colleagues have been saying that the accusers are a lot more credible than Roy Moore.”
On Monday, Flake said that he agrees with Mitt Romney. “A Roy Moore victory is no victory for the GOP and the nation,” he tweeted.
Moore has been accused by multiple women of sexual harrassment or assault when they were teenagers and he was in his thirties. One of the women alleged that he molested her when she was 14-years-old. Moore was also reportedly banned from the mall in his area and the YMCA for creeping up on teenage girls.
A spokesperson for Moore’s campaign defended the Republican candidate by saying that there is a ‘group of non-accusers’ in Alabama. “We need to make it clear that there’s a group of non-accusers, that have not accused the judge of any sexual misconduct or anything illegal,” she said – for some strange reason.
