Republicans Elect Hate-Spewing Bigot Then Whine About Lack of ‘Civility’ (VIDEO)

Seriously? Republicans elect a man for president who spews toxic vitriol against entire groups of people, and now they want CIVILITY?

That’s right. After tolerating a hateful campaign and eight years of vile and racist “birther” claims meant to delegitimize a sitting president, these people are now whining about our lack of civility.

Tweet with horrific -- and very lacking in "civility -- anti-Obama signs.

When Mike Pence took in “Hamilton” and got gently called out from stage by a cast member during the final bows, Pence walked out. Donald Trump then threw a hissy fit on Twitter and his supporters threatened to boycott the show, even though it’s sold out for the next two years.

Yet here these damned Republicans are again, this time on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, whining and clutching their damned pearls over their opponents lack of civility.

When Jack Tapper asked whether the cast of “Hamilton” and the audience — who booed Michael Pence — had gone too far, Rep. Diane Black (R-MD) answered:

‘I think that they should have just let this go. Look he went there to enjoy himself. He had his family there. Let’s have some civility here in this country. If you disagree with someone that’s fine to disagree with them but allow him to be able to have a night of just relaxation and enjoy the show. As you say it’s a wonderful show. Give him an opportunity. I don’t think it was necessary.’

Oh, and here’s another Republican, former congressman, and current CNN commentator who can’t stand Mike Pence having his white privilege interrupted.

‘I think that’s right. You know, listen, I’m old-fashioned about my entertainment. I just like to go to be entertained. If I want politics I’ll go to a town hall meeting. I’ll turn on cable news. There’s lots of outlets you can go to get politics even the issues and ideas that you disagree with. A play for the vice president-elect of the United States who was there with his family to get booed tells you how far gone civility is in America.’

That’s right…While millions of people in America are so terrified of what will happen to them and their families under a Trump regime that they’re crashing other countries’ servers while planning to flee, these heartless and senselessly cruel white, straight people are complaining about the “Hamilton” cast’s lack of “civility.”

Is pushing “conversion therapy” so parents can torture and electrocute their LGBT children to “cure” them civil? Is saying you want to deport people’s children or parents civil? Is telling women they have no right to decide whether or not they want to have children civil? Is having police stop, frisk, and murder black people in the streets of America civil? Is doing everything possible to block U.S. citizens from voting civil? How about a political party that claims to care about “family values” threatening to dissolve your family…Is that civil. How about taking away people’s health insurance? Does that pass the GOP’s “civility” test?

All Brandon Victor Dixon, the “Hamilton” cast member who plays Aaron Burr said while addressing Mike Pence was this:

“We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us. We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. This is one American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds and orientations.”

Such a mild request for reassurance can only be mistaken for a lack of “civility” by people who want to trample on other people’s rights and not be held accountable for their rank cruelty and unfairness.

Watch: Republicans whine about lack of “civility” because Mike Pence’s white privilege was interrupted.
