Sarah Palin Starts Twitter Slap Fight With Democrat, Doesn’t End Well: ‘Screw The NRA’

After the 307th mass shooting this year, maybe, just maybe those moments of silence on the House floor and the ‘thoughts and prayers’ tweets following another murderous rampage aren’t working. And perhaps, God doesn’t sit in the Senate or the House and He’s given us the wisdom to take action instead of remaining silent after more needless deaths. But not if you’re a Republican who has been paid off by the National Rifle Association. People like House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. Ted Cruz, for example.

Half-term Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin, who now runs a clickbait blog, is a bona fide member of the National Rifle Association and took issue with Sen. Ted Lieu’s refusal to participate in a moment of silence following the Texas church massacre on Sunday in which 26 people were shot dead.

“I can’t do this again; I’ve been to too many moments of silences,” Lieu said in a video on Facebook. “In just my short period in Congress, three of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history have occurred. I will not be silent.”

“I urge us to pass reasonable gun safety legislation, including a universal background check law supported by 80 percent of Americans, a ban on assault rifles and a ban on bump stocks,” Sen. Lieu added.

Well, that was too much for Sarah to handle. She called Lieu ‘disgraceful’ for not remaining silent after yet another slaughter on U.S. soil.

Lieu smacked back at the Quitter saying, “Unlike you, I don’t quit.”

Lieu said he does offer his ‘thoughts and prayers’ for the victims but added in a following tweet, “Screw the NRA.”

Lieu is correct in that silence won’t stop the violence. We’ve been offering thoughts and prayers since Columbine, then the Sandy Hook massacre and so many others.
