I’ll bet you didn’t know that you can die if a truck crashes into you. Well, Ted Cruz dropped a truth bomb on us by revealing that trucks can kill. So the fact that a guy went into a church in Texas and killed 26 people with a gun doesn’t mean we need to regulate firearms because a man used a vehicle as a weapon in New York City and killed 8 people. Cruz’s remarks were straight out of the NRA playbook. Cruz raked in $360,727 in 2016 from the National Rifle Association, by the way. Cruz has gotten more money from the gun lobbyist organization than any other member of Congress.
Also, Cruz wants you to know that “evil is evil is evil.” Cruz said that this is not the time to “politicize” the deadly church shooting. “We don’t need politics right now,” he said, even though 307 mass shootings have occurred so far in 2017.

Cruz jumped on the good guy with a gun talking point. And while it’s true, a man did engage in gunfire with the shooter and managed to squeeze off a round that struck the gunman who then dropped his Ruger AR-15, Cruz was actually politicizing the tragedy he said we shouldn’t politicize. Afterward, the gunman shot himself dead. But there’s also the Las Vegas mass shooting last month which left 58 people dead from inside a hotel room. And some people were armed at the concert which turned deadly. ‘More guns’ aren’t the answer unless you’re a recipient of the NRA’s. You know, people like Ted Cruz, for example.
