Tennessee Teen Open Fires On Family Because He Didn’t Want To Go To School (VIDEO)

A 16-year-old Tennessee teen is in custody, accused of shooting his three relatives inside a Nashville apartment after a fight erupted when his mother and grandmother tried to wake him, according to police. Seriously, this is one scary kid here.

Police spokeswoman Kristin Mumford  said the unidentified teen allegedly made threatening remarks before he pulled a handgun from his closet and began shooting, according to WKRN.

The teen’s grandmother, 12-year-old sister and 6-year-old nephew were all struck by gunfire. The victims were transported to a local hospital after suffering injuries which are not life threatening.

“Apparently there was a quarrel about getting up and getting ready for the day,” Mumford told reporters.

The teenager’s mother and 2-year-old sister were both inside the apartment at the time, but neither of them were physically injured.

Police said the teen fled the apartment after the shooting.

Nearby schools, including one which is a polling location for Super Tuesday, were briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution while authorities searched for the teenager. The lockdowns were lifted and voting resumed at the polling location.

The 16-year-old alleged shooter was taken into custody just after 8:00 a.m. after police found him walking along the railroad tracks.

The gun was recovered by police at a nearby apartment complex, but authorities have still not determined where the teen got the gun.

According to his family, they had no idea that he was in possession of a firearm.

Police said the teen will face at least five counts of aggravated assault. He is still in custody.

To reiterate, the teen open fired on his own family because he didn’t want to to go school. He also had a firearm at the ready, easily within reach.

OBVIOUSLY, this is a wake up call for more guns because if the family members had lethal weapons, too, Mom and Grandma could have shot his ass up before he pulled the trigger then everything would have been cool. The end.
