The Internet Drags Bannon-Backed Candidate To School For Meme Suggesting Jesus Was White

Earlier this week, Paul Ryan’s primary challenger, an Alt-Right candidate, tweeted an image calling for the House Speaker’s murder. Paul Nehlen (R-WI) is backed by Breitbart’s head honcho Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist. Earlier this month, Nehlen tweeted, “It’s okay to be white.”

On Saturday, Nehlen tweeted an image showing three Christian crosses with signs reading “No it’s not,” “It’s okay to be white,” “No it’s not.” The cross in the middle represents Jesus Christ — who was a middle eastern Jewish man, and totally not white.

The Internet dragged the Republican to school.

During the Alabama Senate race, Nehlen claimed to have raised “six figures” for alleged child molester Roy Moore. He also spoke at Moore’s campaign rally. The Huffington Post asked the Wisconsin Republican three times if he’s a white nationalist but he dodged the question. We know the answer already, though.
