The Internet Trashes Trump’s Son Over Awful Defense For Attempting To Collude With Russia

The alleged president’s son now admits he met with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign in order to gather damaging information against Hillary Clinton, and not to discuss international adoptions, the latter of which is bad enough. So, this is evidence of collusion with the hostile foreign government. Donald Trump Jr. has now been thrown under the bus by his father, the so-called president of the U.S. According to a spokesman for Trump’s legal team, the amateur president was not aware of this son’s meeting with the Kremlin-affiliated lawyer which took place in Trump Tower with Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, and Paul Manafort, his former campaign manager, in attendance.

Junior is left trying to defend himself on Twitter.

“Obviously I’m the first person on a campaign to ever take a meeting to hear info about an opponent… went nowhere but had to listen,” Junior tweeted.

So, since he did not receive any damaging information as promised, it’s totally cool that he met with the woman in order to try to collude with Russia against his Dad’s opponent. That’s been a talking point on right wing media today and with conservatives, by the way.

Then he retweeted an insane article by the New York Post which contains the same talking points mentioned above.

The New York Times tweeted, “In less than 24 hours, Donald Trump Jr. gave 2 different explanations about why he met with a Kremlin-linked lawyer.”

Junior responded, “No inconsistency in statements, meeting ended up being primarily about adoptions. In response to further Q’s I simply provided more details.”

The response from Twitter users was swift.

Junior, like his father, keeps implicating himself on Twitter so we would advise him to keep tweeting so Mr. Mueller can take even more notes.

Yes, there were inconsistencies in his statements which you can read about here. And it’s insane that Junior says the meeting “ended up primarily about adoptions,” meaning that possible collusion didn’t work out because he was duped. Keep tweeting, Junior.
