Trump Finally Reveals His Favorite Bible Verse And It’s Pretty Weird

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has had problems in the past remembering what his favorite Bible verse. In fact, in late January, the hotel magnate was laughed at after bungling a Bible verse while speaking at Liberty University.

On Thursday, Trump finally revealed what his favorite Bible verse is: An “eye for an eye.” Seriously.

Trump, who is Presbyterian, made the revelation during an interview when conservative radio host Bob Lonsberry on WHAM 1180 AM in Rochester, New York, asked Trump, “Is there a favorite Bible verse or Bible story that has informed your thinking or your character through life, sir?”
Trump responded:

“Well, I think many. I mean, when we get into the Bible, I think many, so many. And some people, look, an eye for an eye, you can almost say that. That’s not a particularly nice thing. But you know, if you look at what’s happening to our country, I mean, when you see what’s going on with our country, how people are taking advantage of us, and how they scoff at us and laugh at us. And they laugh at our face, and they’re taking our jobs, they’re taking our money, they’re taking the health of our country. And we have to be firm and have to be very strong. And we can learn a lot from the Bible, that I can tell you.”

Conservatives give Trump a pass on the religious test. These are the same Conservatives, by the way, who questioned President Obama’s faith. Trump believes that Obama is actually a scary Muslim from Kenya. On that, too, he gets a pass. Sarah Palin defended Trump for not being able to name a favorite Bible verse in late January. She called it a ‘gotcha’ question.

We’re thinking that Mr. Palin’s favorite Bible verse now is Proverbs 21:9. ‘It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.’  Just a hunch.

As for Trump, his favorite Bible verse is in the Old Testament and a form of punishment.
