Amateur president Donald Trump reportedly called the White House a ‘dump’ but he denied that on Twitter. Trump also reportedly told members of his golf club that they are “the special people.” during his very Trumpian conversation which was picked up by a reporter from a golfing site.

In response to the backlash, Trump tweeted, “I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump – TOTALLY UNTRUE”

Trump has been caught in quite a few lies lately so his ‘fake news’ mean-girl tweets aren’t working anymore with the exception of his most ardent supporters.

The journalist with the golfing is standing by his report and said that the conversation was overheard by multiple people.

Alan Shipnuck told Golf Magazine that eight or nine people heard the former reality show star call the White House a dump.

Shipnuck said he received a phone call from White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks who demanded a retraction and he added that she was very rude.

“That’s a lie and needs to be retracted,” she reportedly told Shipnuck.

“It’s not a lie. The president said this in front of eight or nine members and staffers at [Trump] Bedminster. It was his first visit to the club after he had been residing in the White House,” the journalist recalled telling Hicks. “It was a moment of candor.”

“It might be inconvenient for her boss and she might wish he didn’t say it, but it’s not a lie,” he said.
