Having a woman serve as president of the United States will definitely be a big change that many will have to learn to adapt to (if it happens). Especially misogynistic asses who believe women aren’t emotionally capable to handle such a high office.

A Montgomery, Pennsylvania man, Carl Unger, is one of those misogynist assholes that question Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s qualifications. Though there are plenty of reasons to question whether she should serve as president, Unger is particularly concerned about Clinton’s menstrual cycle. In a letter he wrote to the editor of his local paper, Williamsport Sun-Gazette, he asked:

They call us sexist just because we are critical of Hillary Clinton and her health.

What if that time of month comes and she is sick at the same time?

Mind blown. Grey matter brain giblets everywhere. Where to start?

Firstly, let’s start with the obvious. Clinton, born in 1947, will turn 69 years old this month (Oct 26). Most women deal with menopause in their “late 40s or early 50s.” The symptoms of menopause actually occur during a period called perimenopause which can occur two to ten years BEFORE menopause. Most women officially reach menopause (that means we stop bleeding out our gashes) at 51 years of age. This would mean Clinton is probably way past peri-menopausal age / menopausal age.

Also, 25 percent of women just so happen to not experience any symptoms whatsoever.

Secondly, when Clinton did have a menstrual cycle, perhaps she didn’t have PMS that badly. The idea that all women are bitches during their period is a stereotype. Every woman’s PMS symptoms are different. I’m 29 years old and don’t even have a period or PMS symptoms (thank you IUD birth control). Frankly, I’d like to see a man handle severe PMS symptoms and get back with me about how well they held up.

Lastly, how is PMS any worse than Trump losing his shit rage-tweeting on Twitter at 3 am? At least with PMS, there’s some sort of reasoning. What’s Trump’s excuse?

Anyone who knows me knows I have a lot of questions I’d like answered by Clinton. But, if you’re going to use a woman’s menstrual cycle in your argument of qualifications, just shut your pie hole.
