Trump Surrogate Defends Then Apologizes For Offensive Clinton ‘Blackface’ Tweet (IMAGE)

Trump Supporter and televangelist Mark Burns was feeling “frustration” yesterday, so he worked out his anger by sending out a tweet of Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in blackface, holding a sign that read, ‘[email protected] the Police.’ You know, like any ‘Man of God’ would.

The tweet showed a cartoon of Hillary Clinton in blackface with the sign, wearing a shirt saying, “No hot sauce, no peace.” The caption read:

Black Americans, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOTES and letting me use you again..See you again in 4 years.

He followed it up with a photoshopped picture of Clinton wearing dreadlocks.

Burns is an African American ‘pastor’, who spoke in favor of Trump at the Republican National Convention. The purpose of sending out these pictures was apparently, a comment on how Clinton “panders” for African-American votes. However, over the course of the day Monday, his belief in his ‘message’ seemed to diminish in strength.

The tweet has since been deleted.

In the afternoon, he felt pretty good about it:

Yes, I am standing behind that picture. We as African Americans, we need to make Democrats fight for our vote

In the evening, he remained unrepentant:

The tweet is a frustration that I have as a black man here in America, and how I see African-Americans in many cases suffering throughout the country

But finally, after a day of massive negative publicity, he had seen the error of his ways:

“I want to apologize because the last thing I want to do is to anger people. I really am a unifier.

Indeed. Race-baiting has always been an essential element of unification. Although the black community already seems pretty unified, at least in their contempt for Donald Trump. A recent WSJ poll finds Trump polling at zero percent, among African-American voters in the crucial swing states of Pennsylvania and Ohio.
