The Associated Press sent out a tweet reading, “BREAKING: AP Source: House GOP leaders delay vote on health care repeal bill, in setback for President Trump and Speaker Ryan,” but apparently the former reality show star was unaware of it. The news of the delayed vote spread like wildfire so pretty much everyone else knew about it.

In fact, Trump said on Thursday afternoon that the House would vote later in the day on the GOP bill to repeal and replace Obamacare. But, he said this after reports noted that the vote (to leave 24 million Americans uninsured) would not take place until Friday at the earliest. The votes were just not there. This is a huge mark on Trump;
“Today the House is voting to repeal and replace the disaster known as Obamacare,” Trump said while surrounded by truckers and CEOs, Talking Points Memo reports. “We’ll see what happens. It’s going to be a very close vote.”
Trump went on to say that the vote will be close “not because Obamacare is good” but because of “politics.”
“It’s no good. Everybody knows it’s no good,” Trump added. “It’s only politics, because we have a great bill. And I think we have a very good chance.”
As a bonus, here is the amateur president climbing into a truck, honking the horn while pretending to drive it – as one does:

Clearly, Trump has other things on his mind with his ‘I love Truckers’ button on his lapel.
