Members of a prominent white nationalist group involved in the recent bloody rally in Sacramento in which 7 people were stabbed or wounded have pledged to provide protection for Donald Trump’s supporters at next month’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
Talking Points Memo reports:
Traditionalist Worker Party spokesman Matt Parrott told McClatchy on Monday that about 30 members of his group, which held a rally at the California state capitol over the weekend where at least five people were stabbed, will head to the convention to “make sure that the Donald Trump supporters are defended from the leftist thugs.”
That was the thinking behind Sunday’s rally in Sacramento, which was organized along with the Golden State Skinheads: to publicize what they see as acts of aggression against Trump supporters. The rally dissolved into chaos, with anti-fascist and anarchist protesters physically clashing with the approximately 30 skinheads who showed up at the event. At least 10 people were injured.
Authorities said that people from both sides were injured in the brawl and that no one has been arrested yet.
As Alan Colmes puts it, “So nice of them to offer this unsolicited help to supporters of the Yakking Yam©.” It is adorable but it’s not surprising. The acidic billionaire has received white supremacist support across the board, including from the Ku Klux Klan. Various white supremacist groups have pledged support for the presumptive GOP nominee.

The ‘man’ featured in the above video is Matthew Heimbach, head of the Traditionalist Worker Party. The Southern Poverty Law Center described Heimbach as “the face of a new generation of white nationalists” and that individual was caught in a video along with several other white Trump supporters forcibly ejecting a black female protester from the Louisville, Kentucky rally in March.
Popcorn sales are going to be through the roof during the Republican National Convention. The brawls in Sacramento quickly erupted between the 30 skinheads attending and an estimated hundreds of anti-fascist protesters. Counter-protesters are expected at the Republican Convention, too.
