“Whites only” and “colored” signs were found over water fountains at First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Pictures of those signs were circulated on Twitter. After Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton with electoral votes (not by popular vote), taunting, racial slurs, threats and harassment against minorities has dramatically increased.
Law Newz reports:
“The signs placed on top of the fountains are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by our school district,” Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Duval County Public Schools Superintendent, told LawNewz.com in a statement. “We are investigating the matter to determine who is behind the action to provide the appropriate discipline and counseling.”
The signs clearly evoke segregation policies formerly common in the United States. Pictures of the signs started circulating on social media, stoking outrage.

DCPS spokesperson Laureen Ricks told Action News Jax, “School is investigating, but it appears to be a prank. Staff immediately removed the notes once it was brought to their attention.”
We don’t think prank means what they think it means.
Racists feel emboldened since the election. The KKK is holding a parade in North Carolina to celebrate of Trump’s victory. And all of this is happening in 2016.
